2020 Golden Globes - List of Winners

The 77th Golden Globe Awards which is the first award show of the season took place on January 5th as they crowned the winners of the 2020 Golden Globes. The event has taken place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and was organized by Hollywood Foreign Press Association. It has been hosted by Ricky Gervais, a comedian and has featured a handful of surprises.

The Golden Globe 2020 has honored the best performances of the previous year from the world of cinema, television to OTT where in the nominations for various categories have been announc4ed few weeks ago.

The full list of the winners of 2020 Golden Globes is mentioned below:

Best Motion Picture - Comedy:

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has won the award with the nominations being Dolemite Is My Name, Jojo Rabbit, Knives Out, Rocketman.

Best Motion Picture - Drama:

1917  has won the award with the nominations being The Irishman, Joker, Mrriage story, The Two Popes.

Best Director - Motion Picture:

Sam Mendes for 1917 has won the award with the nominations being Martin Scorsese for The Irishman, Quentin Tarantino for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Bong Joon Ho for Parasite, Todd Philips for Joker.

Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama:

Joaquin Phoenix for Joker  has won the award with the nominations being Christian Bale for Ford v Ferrari, Antonio Banderas for Pain and Glory, Adam Driver for Marriage story, Jonath Pryce for The Two Popes.

Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama:

Renee Zellweger for Judy  has won the award with the nominations being Cynthia Erivo for Harriet, Scarlett johansson for Marriage Story, Saoirse Ronan for Little Women, Charlize Theron for Bombshell.

Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy:

Awkwafina for The Farewell  has won the award with the nominations being Ana De Armaas for Knives Out, Cate Blanchett for Where’d You Go, Bernadette, Beanie Feldstein for Booksmart, Emma Thompson for Late Night.

Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy:

Taron Egerton for Rocketman has won the award with the nominations being Daniel Craig for Knives Out, roman Griffin Davis for Jojo Rabbit, Leonardo DiCaprio for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Eddie Murphy for Dolemite Is My Name.

Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture:

Brad Pitt for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has won the award with the nominations being tom Hanks for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Anthony Hopkins for The Two Popes, Al Pacino for The Irishman, Joe Pesci for The Irishman.

Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture:

Laura Dern for Marriage Story has won the award with the nominations being Kathy Bates for Richard Jewell, Annette Bening for The Report, Jennifer Lopez for Hustlers, Margot Robbie for Bombshell.

Best Motion Picture - Foreign:

Parasite has won the award with the nominations being The Farewell, Les Miserables, pain and Glory, Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Best screenplay - Motion Picture:

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has won the award with the nominations being Marriage story, The Two Popes, Parasite, The Irishman.

Best Motion Picture - Animated:

Missing Link has won the award with the nominations being How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, The lion King, Toy Story 4, Frozen 2.

Best Original Song - Motion Picture:

“I’m Gonna Love me Again” from Rocketman has won the award with the nominations being “Beautiful Ghosts” from Cats, “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2, “Spirit” from The Lion King, “Stand Up” from Harriet.

Best Original Score - Motion Picture:

Joker has won the award with the nominations beingMotherless Brooklyn, little Women, 1917, Marriage Story.

Best Television series - Comedy:

Fleabag has won the award with the nominations being Barry, The Kominsky Method, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Politician.

Best Television Series - Drama:

Succession has won the award with the nominations being Big Little Lies, The Crown, Killing Eve, The Morning show.

Best Limited Series or TV Movie:

Chernobyl has won the award with the nominations being Catch-22, Fosse/ Verdon, The loudest Voice, Unbelievable.

Best Actress in A Drama Series:

Olivia Colman for The Crown has won the award with the nominations being Jennifer Anitson for The morning show, Jodie Corner for Killing Eve, Nicole Kidman for Big Little Lies, Reese Witherspoon for the Morning Show.

Best Actor in a Drama Series:

Brian Cox for Succession has won the award with the nominations being Kit Harington for Game of Thrones, Rami Malek for Mr. Robot, Tobias Menzies for The Crown, Billy Porter for Pose.

Best Actor in a Comedy Series:
