Lokesh Kanagaraj made a sensational directorial debut with Khaidi featuring Karthi in the lead role. His second film Master with Vijay ended up as a decent hit but failed to live up to the expectations. Bowled out by the work of Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay offered one more film and the director is done with the script. His recent film Vikram marked the comeback of Kamal Haasan and the film crossed Rs 300 crore mark worldwide. Lokesh Kanagaraj is now in huge demand and several top directors locked the director for their upcoming projects.
There were speculations that Ram Charan and Lokesh Kanagaraj will team up soon. But there is no official news about the film. After the super success of Vikram, the discussion is back on cards. There are talks that Lokesh Kanagaraj and Ram Charan met in a star hotel even before the release of Vikram. Ram Charan asked Lokesh Kanagaraj to come up with an interesting script and Lokesh Kanagaraj started working on the same. But the Tamil director is busy with several films. He will direct Vijay's film and he has the sequels of Khaidi and Vikram ready. Ram Charan and Lokesh Kanagaraj's film may start rolling in 2023 once they are done with their current projects. Ram Charan is shooting for Shankar's film and he will soon work with Gautam Tinnanuri.
