Story
Aadhi (Varun Tej) is a fun loving guy who is quite concerned about his studies and future. He falls in love on first spot with Varsha (Rashi Khanna) during a journey. Though he misses her, the duo meets again in college after a gap of six months. However in a shocking move, Aadhi and Varsha part ways due to an unfortunate incident. Analysis
The first half of Tholi Prema looks extremely fresh and engaging throughout. Right from the first frame, the film looks racy and colourful. The performances by the lead actors are the major assets. The songs and the cinematography strike hard and the interval episodes turn emotional. The first half of Tholi Prema will appeal to youth big time and has all the commercial ingredients packed in right amounts.
The second half of Tholi Prema starts with a bang but it runs on a slow pace throughout. Focussed mostly on entertainment and emotions, the second half of Tholi Prema will appeal to family crowds big time. The songs once again look extremely stunning on screen and the grand production values make Tholi Prema a sure shot winner. The climax looks emotional and decent. On the whole, the second half looks matured, clean and emotional.
Performance
Varun Tej tops the show with his energetic looks and performance. He looks apt as Aadhi and he performed with utmost ease. The actor looks dashing on screen and has lost considerable weight for the film. Rashi Khanna is extremely gorgeous, simple and performed well as Varsha. One cannot expect one more actress essaying the role after Rashi portraying the role of Varsha. Hyper Aadhi and Priyadarshi have been entertaining and decent. All the other actors have been supportive.
Tholi Prema has a simple story and it is the screenplay, dialogues that make the major difference. The music and the background score are the major assets for the film and the cinematography looks stunning. The editing has been crisp and the production values make the film lavish and loud throughout. Venky Atluri makes an impressive debut and manages to stand on the top with his directorial abilities.
Final Word
Tholi Prema stand tall in all the available ways in impressing the audience big time. Varun Tej and Rashi Khanna steal the show with their outstanding performances.
