RRR happens to be one of the costliest films made in Indian cinema and the country's top director SS Rajamouli is the man behind this periodic drama set in 1920s. The film's final budget touched Rs 450 crores including the salaries, expenses and interests. The makers sold off the theatrical rights in all the languages for Rs 488 crores and some of the territories are sold on an advance basis. The non-theatrical rights are sold for Rs 300 crores including all the languages.

The makers pocketed over Rs 300 crores before the release. The final profit statement is expected after the theatrical run comes to an end. There are speculations that SS Rajamouli is betting big on the Hindi theatrical rights and he holds a lion's share in the rights. NTR and Ram Charan have no share in the profits and they took home Rs 45 crore each for their work. SS Rajamouli and the film's producer DVV Danayya will share the profits. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani will be seen in other important roles. DVV Danayya is the producer and MM Keeravani is the music director.
