Narendra Modi in the UK for the COP26 Summit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Glasgow, United Kingdom on Sunday and he will participate in the COP26 Climate Summit. He will also participate in the bilateral talks with the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the United Nations meet. "Landed in Glasgow. Will be joining the @COP26 Summit, where I look forward to working with other world leaders on mitigating climate change and articulating India’s efforts in this regard" posted Narendra Modi on his twitter handle.

Earlier to this, he also posted saying "Leaving for Glasgow after a fruitful @g20org Summit in Rome. During the Summit, we were able to have elaborate deliberations on issues of global importance such as fighting the pandemic, improving health infrastructure, boosting economic cooperation and furthering innovation". Narendra Modi was in Italy for the G20 Summit and he flew to UK. He is scheduled to meet the Indologists and community leaders in Scotland. Narendra Modi will then head for the opening ceremony of World Leaders' Summit at the 26th Conference of Parties at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow. Narendra Modi will address the summit plenary session. After completing this, Narendra Modi will meet Boris Johnson and it will have cultural performances. The talks are expected to be focused on the climate partnership of India and UK.
